Voice Nigeria Linking and Learning Inception Event, September 2021.
On Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15 September 2021, Voice Nigeria Linking and Learning (L&L) facilitators, Cognito and NINE, held its first linking and learning event in Zuma Rock Resort, Tafa, Niger State. There were 50 participants in attendance consisting of the Voice Nigeria team, Voice Grantees, as well as the Cognito and NINE team.
The objectives of the workshop were to:
Ensure a shared understanding of Voice L&L and knowledge management practices amongst grantees
Create an open space where the exchange of knowledge and experiences is shared in a participatory approach.
Devise means of sharing and collaborating with each other using appropriate efficiency-enhancing tools
To co-develop a learning roadmap for grantees
The agenda was created from the VOICE theory of change which focuses on three pillars - Empower, Amplify and Influence. The agenda also incorporated learnings gleaned from the baseline assessment conducted with outgoing Voice Grantees. Participatory and interactive measures were adopted in activities to unambiguously introduce the new grantees to the Voice L&L approach while allowing the L&L Facilitation team to get the information needed for an effective L&L roadmap co-created and endorsed by Grantees.
